September 2023
It has been a very busy year for us. We just finished installing Union at the Washington Arboretum (UW Botanical Gardens) in Seattle (see project page which has information about our opening celebration September 24th as well as the specific location of the sculpture within the gardens). A month earlier we finished and installed Swell at Cedar Hall, also in Seattle (see project page). In June we reinstalled Isla at a new location within Kew Gardens Wakehurst in the UK where people now have new vantages because they can stand directly under the sculpture.
Torrent is finished and it was an elaborate install in July and it is now fully installed at the entry to Meta's new Building X (see project page for full set of images and video). Understory for Microsoft's new Redmond campus is almost finished and we begin the one-month install in three weeks.
At the end of September we begin to disassemble the historic schooner Equator (see upcoming projects). Coming In October is a site visit to Alaska to prepare for the January installation of Emeritus up north (also see upcoming projects).
Several new projects are in planning stages - more news to come on those fronts soon!
